How to Play Backgammon Online

Welcome to Backgammon! This classic board game is a fun mix of luck and strategy. Here’s a simple guide to help you get started:

1. Understand the Board and Pieces

Backgammon is played on a board with 24 narrow triangles called "points." Each player has 15 checkers (or pieces) that move around the board based on dice rolls.

2. Rolling the Dice

You roll two dice at the beginning of each turn. The numbers on the dice tell you how many points you can move your checkers. If you roll a double, you get to move twice the number shown on the dice!

3. Moving Your Checkers

Your goal is to move all your checkers around and off the board before your opponent. You do this by moving them according to the dice roll. Make sure to follow the arrows on the board!

4. Hitting and Entering

If one of your checkers lands on a point occupied by only one of your opponent’s checkers, you can "hit" it. This means their checker is sent to the middle of the board, and they have to re-enter it on their next turn.

5. Bearing Off

Once all your checkers are in your home board (the last 6 points), you can start "bearing off" – which means removing your checkers from the board. The first player to bear off all their checkers wins the game.
